Exploring the Core Principles of the IFS Model
Enhancing the skills and presence needed to accompany others on their path of healing and integration.
About This Training
This workshop offers a deep, practice-oriented introduction to the Internal Family Systems (IFS) model — a powerful, evidence-based approach to understanding the mind as a system of parts guided by an innate, healing Self.
You’ll learn to identify protectors and exiles, cultivate Self-leadership, and facilitate internal dialogue that supports transformation and integration.
Facilitated by Hiroko Demichelis, Level 2 IFS Practitioner, this training combines structured learning, live demonstration, and experiential exploration to help you embody IFS principles in your professional and personal life.

“Brilliant workshop from a brilliant human banana (I mean human being). I'm fairly well versed in this model, and still I learned SO much. Great blend of education and exercises, well paced, well executed, thoughtfully structured, truly amazing. I'm sad I don't get to return again tomorrow morning.”

“Enjoyed the course and learned plenty - I would suggest it for anyone working with others and for the self.”
“Hiro did a phenomenal job of breaking down what can often feel like an abstract and complex model, and made Internal Family Systems so tangible, accessible, and grounded. I had several breakthrough moments throughout the training, especially around the concept of Self-energy—how vital it is to cultivate and stay connected to our Self-energy, both as therapists and in service of our clients. That was such a powerful takeaway for me! The non-pathologizing approach of IFS is something I deeply resonate with, and Hiro embodied it so beautifully in her compassionate teaching. It’s clear how foundational this lens is for healing work, and the way Hiro guided us made it easy to see how transformative this practice can be—not just for clients, but for us as therapists, too. I also really appreciated the thoughtful details Hiro brought to the workshop space—the physical workbooks, the glitter, and of course, the gummy bears! Those playful, grounding elements made learning feel fun and embodied, which helped everything click on a deeper level. I had just finished reading No Bad Parts by Richard Schwartz a few days before the workshop, but I can confidently say that learning from Hiro and experiencing IFS in the group setting is what actually allowed me to understand this theory on a foundational level. Thank you for holding such a sacred, safe space for all of us. I loved learning not only from Hiro but from each person in the group. It was a special experience, and I’m so grateful for the opportunity to be part of it.” Lindsay La Bontee, People and Culture, Push Operations.
